Internet and TV melt
Ettlingen February 21, 2007 - Eversince the dawn of the age of tv they guide the viewer through the programm: moderators have become an inherent part of the world of tv. Many of them - Larry King, Diane Sawyer, or Oprah Winfrey - give their tv shows a personal touch and in this way establish themselves as a brand. They manage personalisation and identification with the viewer; this attracts the viewer's attention.

On the Internet the user was left alone. No moderators, just search engines and websites which are heavy on the text guided the user through the net. Catchwords like: search term, relevance, link, keyword and hit illustrate this development. Unlike TV, the net needs the interaction of the user.

This state is about to change now, due to the innovation of the IT-service provider "Your actor on the Internet" (Yaoti; www.yaoti.com) . The company applies the idea of a human moderator on the World Wide Web: interactive moderators guide through websites, present companies, give advice and information, exlain forms and products. All this is possible with the application of the latest technologies.

"Today we are at the beginning of a development to a personalized Internet. Our service provides a virtual, but at the same time human and really existing companion", explains Yaoti's CEO Volker Bossert. He promises an additional benefit to website operators.

"Persons and faces give the opportuninty of identification. It works the same way as in advertising: people who like the face of the presenter, like the product", says Bossert.

For the most part, Yaoti can be used free of charge by the business and domestic sector. The interactive moderator is personofied by an actor, who is recorded in sound, vision and movement and then placed online. (words: 286 / signs: 2.204)
